SEQ/NE-NSW cruise -FEBRUARY sometime, lets organise!

Post by Lil Willsy »

Hey all, looking in the QLD cruise section(im on the boarder so these are closest) ive notcied there hasnt been any since this time last year, thought id chuck it out there to start organising another one.... maybe meet at logan, head southwest down the back way to tenterfeild and back through casino-lismore, then north again, part ways at Ikea?

just chucking it out there, suggestions please, should get it in action by late september, most ppl will have their tax returns back and gems on the road(in theory)

Cheers Mick.

sounds pretty good to me.
that sounds like a massive drive tho... how far is it roughly and time?

i would like to head somewhere around the GC hinterland like o'reilys or something.

nice BBQ at a lookout or something would be awesome :D

its most of a day driving.... from logan you have to pretty much go out to beudesert to get on the highway to tenterfield. so its a VERRRY long drive.
although, this hinterland thing sounds good. bbq and stuff.

Got a proposed route Hotgemi?
and a fair idea on pot hole amounts would be good too, im running massive stretch, so ill have to put my other rims on so i dont pop off the bead and bend a rim.

my other gem had 205-65's all round, they will be my wheels if there are excess pot holes lol.

i am unsure about it hey, not sure if i should or do it next year, plan it better. coz the anniversary was this past wednesday. thoughts?
we dont really have to go via the accident site to cruise in memory, so we could just organise a cruise at any point really?
but close to the anniversary is probably better?
yeah, like i said, im unsure.

yeah you are right man,
I dont think it is entirely necessary to head past the site but it is good to keep it clean and tidy i guess. it is a bit heavy tho.

I thought it must have been close. shame we missed it :(

well we will organise this cruise, not in officially in memory but knowing he will be there yeah?

Um, I will work on a route if you like.
my gem is in a million pieces again but will have it ready for jambo, so yeah mid September for the cruise would be good and plenty of time to plan.

I'll be on the goldy again most likely the first week of september. Duno if you can wait that long though? Theres a nice run from nerang up to beechmont then back through canungra and that. All the motorbikes head out that way. My car's at my parents up on beehcmont hill so I get to drive up and down it when I'm there anyway just an idea though. Cause I'm not sure how long people would like to drive. Most cases people I'd say a couple of hours is plenty for a cruise. just an idea.

Yer, that beechmont road is a nice one. Also the O'reily's is good too. BBQ sounds good.
Not sure when the Hinze dam will be done but that would have some pretty good picnic areas once they bloody open it again.
