QLD Club Rego. Whos Interested

Post by Andrew64 »

OK, so we all know how hard it is with keeping a number of cars registered in QLD.
Loki and myself have been looking into ways we could form an incorporated club so that we could get the SIV rego (club rego)
We have decided on a way to go and are in negotiations at the moment, more info will come to light as we delve deeper.
What I am looking for at the moment is a show of hands as to who would be interested ?
Im not sure what the club membership fees would be just yet but $55 per year or $85 for 2 years seems the norm.
This is only for QLD residents.
Who's interested ?
Cheers
Andrew

Just to let people know , club rego has restrictions , like only allowed 15km as the crow flies for Testing and tuning and club sanctioned events etc.
Getting too old for this s*#t!!

Also, to a repairer (this has no km limit)
And we will be able to manipulate the club calender to suit our needs

There is also the old school Japanese car club based on the northside/caboolture area, it's run by the bellett boys & they are keen for more gemini members. I'm joining them soon.

We looked into creating our own new club but its just too much time and effort that neither I nor Lok could afford to spend on this.
So, now we are looking at joining an existing club but we need to be a separate chapter or sub branch otherwise we would only be able to drive during their calender activities.
What we need is a club that would allow us to have our own agenda and calender.
I have approached a number of clubs so far and they have all said no, I will just keep contacting clubs untill I find one that will do what we need.
I will keep everybody updated as we move along.
