Then seeing the result at Geminats for both of these will be f*#cking epic.
I need to join in on this bandwagon.

So just when I thought I had everything I needed to get the TE finished, I've just gone and spent $1400 on fuel fittings and new braided hose. The braided hose I had was not e85 resistant.
Good thing is this will now be solid as a rock to support up to 800hp
8an feed, 8an return, 100 micron and 30 micron filters, etc etc.
Using single in tank walbro 460 for now, and bulkhead connections on the fuel tank cover for the feed and return (mated to 90 degree 8an to 3/8 barb fittings on the inside of the tank cover. Then using insulated bulkhead electrical connectors for power. Teflon washers on all of it.
Bulkhead 8an fittings into boot floor for feed and return.
Also scrapped the 8x550cc rx7 injectors idea - instead going to run the Bosch 2200cc injectors I have.
Finishing brake master and line setup today.
Also installing the hydraulic clutch setup today. Engine / box going in next weekend.
Will keep boost to 28/30psi for now and see how the box handles it
Mick

Are you running braided all the way under the car?

AN Bulkhead fittings where factory fuel line bulkhead is - braided line from tank to injector rail and back

Can you do that over there?

Good point actually. I should've checked with him. Will do so tomorrow but nothing I can see in the rules tells me it's illegal.
Have a read through this document (I just did and can't find anything stating braided hose illegal)
https://infrastructure.gov.au/roads/veh ... 011_v2.pdf
So long as it's certified as part of the engineering process

I argued but I was told it must be solid steel or aluminium tube run in the factory location.
If you can do it let me know because I will be pissed off!!!

I had a similar thing Hayden.
Except I was able to run braided line from where fuel hose would be standard. Although the engineer wasn't real fussed about it.
Mick text me tonight I forgot to send you skid pan details.
Actually just to be safe I'll PM you.

So I spoke to the engineer - braided lines are fine so long as they're secured and also shielded with metal rectangular tube in the areas the hose is exposed to the road.
Onto the rest of it:
I've got a slight dilemma with the clutch
The clutch was originally built to suit a 4ze1 with a Gemini msg 5 speed with cable operated clutch
Now I'm using the MUA 5 speed
Am I going to have a problem with the pressure plate / clutch plate engaging with the hydraulic clutch setup?

Is there a distance difference between the Gem box v MUA to the throw out bearing? If there's none shouldn't have a real problem.

Not sure - will have to measure from the spline

Re: Pre adr TX coupe 4ze1 turbo build (was project TC coupe)
Chopped out the old transmission tunnel on the tx coupe yesterday and spent the better part of the day measuring and cutting the later model trans tunnel from the tc coupe to fit.
Today I started welding the tunnel in, and modifying the original flat tx floor to suit. The later model floor pan / tunnel sits a lot higher than the flat floor early tx (about 3 to 3.5 inches). I had to fold the original floor pan up to mate it to the inside of the later model tunnel section.
Still a way to go but it's getting there. Plan is to rivet the bottom of the new tunnel to the folded up sections and weld along both the seam underneath the car and then inside the car. Will then remove the rivets and plug weld the resultant holes.
Good thing is the tunnel is now mostly lined up and the top part of the tunnel / firewall has been welded in from the engine bay side and one seam on the inside of the car (passenger side as you can see in the pics).
