after 1000 welding burns the welding is done. well my part anyway. got some pistons for the motor and a gear drive for the front and a timing cover. now i am putting the front end back it and then on to the diff then it is going to my dads work to sit there until i strip my other white gemini. as my parents said one gemini only so the white one is getting parted out and all the good bits are going into this one and the rest is getting sold including the motor.

here are some of the pictures.

update got my brakes one side is bolted on. my heads i got for this motor have hair line cracks in them so they are are bin job. so i might just get some iron heads as for burnouts they are better as the head disapaces slowy and less likey to crack them and they are cheaper so the one i will save i will just spend it on porting. but if i get iron heads i have to run pump fuel so i will lose about 80hp so i will only have round 520hp but that should be heaps for a burnout car. and i also will save money on all of the fuel system as it is just pump fuel.

some pictures of the brakes some of the little things i am not happy with like the grease cap will only go on 3/4 on the way so i will just have to trim that down abit. also got some pictures of my motor gear drive cover and a motor front support bracket

here they are

big things has been happing to the front brakes the motor and the diff. there will be running a 28 spline diff in a Gemini diff center. my mate who works in a diff shop thinks this will be good for 700hp and it will only cost a few hundred to make and fit. and got a stock bore 350 chev block and a full maunal t400 gearbox coming from the states and got a high engery 350 sump for it to. also made up a spacer for the booster less brake master set up just need to get it laser cut now. then bolt it in.

there will be no more pictures due to i have a big sponsor helping me out n they said keep it under raps so this will be the last update until the car is done in a few years time

f*#cking LOL you get sponsored by the adelaide gaslog fire specialist to put a fireplace in the boot? gaslog fire would be heaps easier than putting a wood fire in cos you would have to carry around to much weight with all that extre firewood

update time

dont really have time to do much due to work.

i purchased a few more parts i need and i finshed off the engine mounts so they are all finished. i am going to be picking up my other motor in the next few weeks and fitting the hang on parts and putting that in with the exhaust on. so when that is all donei will cut the floor and the trans tunnel from the hz stateman i have brought for parts and welding that in. after that i will get on to the diff and then the tailshaft. i will be using a 4wd tailshaft as my t400 doesnt have a slip yoke.it is soild as it ws from a pick up form the states and they are meant to be heaps stronger. i also had to drop the rack down and gind the logos off so it clears the sump as the logos where just touching the sump.

pictures of the mounts and some off my parts an the mod to the rack so it clears the sump

i have done alot this weekend as i had abit of spare time on my hands. the trans tunnel is finished it looks very nice. well i think so anyway. i also dummy fitted the motor again to make sure nothing else what hitting that i forgot about about. nothing was so it looks like i can start on the backend of the car and fit the tailshaft loop. i also what to make the rear end of the car near the shockers abit stronger as that looks to be a weak spot but that shouldnt be to hard. the motor has been out about 20 times to make it fit nice and neat so i am glad that it fits nice that way i want it too. i also have purchashed a few more parts for the car for the fuel system as soon as they arrive i will get some pictures up. after sitting back and looking over the car the only part that hasnt been changed and is close to standard is the doors and the boot lid but they have be shaved to.

here is some pictures of the weekends work

update time. i havent really done much as i am waiting on alot of parts from the states but i have stripped my sump and the nos bottle ready to get painted. i have also stripped the diff down and put new bearings on the pinion shaft and put that back in but i am waiting on the bearings for my diff centre and a pinion seal. once i have that i can put the centre in a put the diff hat back on and get my axles made up to suit. also i have a picture of the rear suppport for the shockers and it will also make fitting my boot set up easier. i also cleaned the oil galleys and the water ports with a die grinder on both of my heads up so they can get sent away and rebuilt very soon.

here are some pictures
