You can set the camera like that man. Have a read through your book and it should tell you how to do it
it'd be basic laws of physics.
The car is moving
The camera is moving (whilst following the car)
The background is not

the background is not clear, the car is, if the camera was moving, both objects would not be clear
.
something to do with the focus?

Idiot scott....
Sit in your chair and put your finger up and look at it. Note everything is clear. Now, lets call your eyes the camer and ur finger the car.
Turn around and keep your eyes on your finger.
Note how your finger stays clear? Thats because you are following it. If you move the same speed as the car, it wont go out of focus.

Either way, they are some nice pics man. Love it. Cant wait till we get our drift day here on sept 30.
And scotty, just to add, you cant use long exposure anymore for those shots. Shutter speed needs to be super quick.

lol yer u follow the car and take the pic. it's called panning.
it's pretty hard to get it good, most of my first pics were blurry as.
shutter speed isn't super quick but quick enough
if it was super quick the background would be frozen as well.
cheers for the comments
