BROCK MEMORIAL CRUISE 2009

Post by stkslx »

DATE: Saturday 12th September 2009
DESTINATION: Mount Panorama, Bathurst
DEPARTING TIME: Please see Meetpoints below
ARRIVING TIME: 11:30AM- 12:00PM Approx
COST: Fuel & Lunch

CRUISE INFO: The NSW Gemini Club have been invited to this cruise by the NSW Commodore club.
We will be cruising to the Mountain to pay tribute to Peter Brock (The King of The Mountain). They had 50+ cars last year & it really is a fantastic day. Regarding lunch there are BBQ facilities up the top of the mountain and obviously all the usual food shops in Bathurst itself. There is a playground for the kids and plenty of room for us to park & gather. Please also remember this is a tribute day to Brock not a race day, so please do no attend if you have the wrong intentions, police patrol the mountain on a weekend basis. We can also visit the museum during the day if others wish to, however I will leave that open for discussion on the day as many people have already been recently. Cost to the Bathurst Motor Museum is $8.00 Per Adult.

MEET POINTS:

MEET POINT - SYDNEY: PENRITH PANTHERS Carpark (NOT Krispy Kremes), Mulgoa Road, Penrith
MEET TIME: 9:00AM
DEPART TIME: 9:30AM

MEET POINT 3 - ORANGE: Hungry Jack's Car Park
MEET TIME: 10:30AM
DEPART TIME: 11:00AM

But you're planning on making it to Orange from Penrith in an hour?!

Are the times correct Jase? Why are you driving through Bathurst to meet at Orange? I'm keen anyways, should be there in a mates' gold VK on 20s.

Cheers,
Justin

Oh, and if the numbers are similar to last year, they're going to have all sorts of trouble getting into the HJ's carpark in Orange. Just a heads up.

Is the cruise for anyone or do you have to be a member of a club?

I'm in. Coming up from the gong. Are they just going along the great western or the line of bells rd?
Just curious. Line of bells is a better drive. Less traffic. Better views. No road work lol

Well. I must say. I am farkin dissapointed with the show of Gems at this cruise. I thought you guys would have jumped at the chance to go for a run to bathurst.
I am starting to think people on here are, well, lets just say...
Nah.
fuk it
Thought I was involved with a club that was keen to show Australia how cool gems are.
Looks like I was wrong.
Do all cruises with u guys fizzle like this??
What happened to the rest of you.
It was a great day. I had a ball.
Felt a bit out of place but overall it was well organised and there was a great turnout - of commodores!
Thanks STKSLX for letting us know about the cruise. keep up the good work mate.
Cheers.

most work on Saturdays and that's why i was not there and i was told it was a good day

and if you read the first part of the heading it reads

The NSW Gemini Club have been invited to this cruise by the NSW Commodore club and the cruise was open to any body and other clubs only had 1 or 2 cars as well but the day was about having a run with others and having a good time and yes there was a lot of commodores as they where the ones that organized it
