www.TURBOGEMINI.com - Electronic Ignition conversion kits

Post by TurboGemini »

Hey Guys,

We've developed an electronic ignition conversion kit and recently added it to the website. To suit all G series engines - G161, G180 and G200.

For full description including benefits, and installation instructions, go to the following page of our site, scroll to the bottom and click on picture;

http://www.turbogemini.com/Turbo%20Accessories.htm

It works very well, I use it myself, and we've tried to keep the cost down, so for $99 plus shipping, you can convert your points dizzy to full electronic.

Plus, installation is about as easy as it gets, two wires only, one to each side of the coil. No external modules to worry about.

Cost = $99. shipping is flat rate $12 to anywhere in Australia, multiple items get a discount. Can pick up from Ballarat, VIC, or shipping is offered worldwide.

For purchases or for any other questions, email me and I'll try to reply ASAP. sales@turbogemini.com

Cheers
Ben

Likewise, my car might not have shat itself on so many drift days.

TurboGemini - is the sensor a new item, or does it use donor parts from other cars?

Hall effect.. that's awesome. So you could lock it and use it as a CAS too. Much better, more robust and accurate than Variable Reluctor from what I've heard.

Yes the sensors and kit is 100% brand new.

The hall effect sensor could potentially be uses as a cam angle sensor, I don't see why not, although I haven't tried it before myself.

Although it's only a two wire output, it's equivalent to the typical 3 wire sensors, which have POWER, EARTH and SIGNAL.

In the case of our sensors, it doesn't have an EARTH wire becuase the unit earths through the body of the distributor, so the two wires are POWER and SIGNAL which go to the positive and negative side of the coil respectively.
