Ha when I had access to a lathe I bored and parted off mine out of a solid bar of K245... a bit of over kill, mild steel tube would be fine.

Just curious LOK,

In the photo you seem to have one set of 4 stud hubs drilled for 115mm instead of 100mm?

Also, any progress on spacer rings for rear disc conversions?

yes , 1 set was a special order 114.3x4 , just awaiting that person to put their hand up as i cant remember who it was.

No further progress on spacer rings. Im hoping to have the car up on blocks this weekend to make a start on the rears. Already have the discs drilled waiting to go!

Ill be keen on a set when they become available again please. So just to clear a couple of things up, i have a 77 TX sedan. What front calipers would i use with this set up? If i got a set drilled 5 stud, this would slightly simplify a rear disc brake conversion as i could use 5 stud commodore discs without having to get them drilled to 4 x 100? As my 13 x 8s wont fit anymore theres no real benefit in staying 4 stud (unless i am missing something?)Am i on the right track?

Cheers,
Matt

the front calipers would be the VX ones.

Yes ,your 13x8 wont fit. You need a minimum 15" rim to clear the calipers on the front. 14" may fit on the rear with a conversion , but having 2 different wheels is expensive in the long run.

The rears , if you were to convert them , you'd need new axles. Its not legal to redrill discs ( unless racecar , but then you compromise integrity with heat from hard braking on corners )

Im in the process of doing a rear disc conversion to 4 stud. I have the discs and back brake hardwae , just not the time currently to fit it all up and get the needed info to make it a bolt on no mod kit.

Hi Matt,

Going 5 stud on the rear does not necessarily simplify matters. Suggest you get a cost for axle shorten and respline before you decide. It was pretty line-ball last time I looked into it. If Lok can offer 4 stud discs and conversion rings at a reasonable price it will romp it in for price.
