NEW Coupe/Wagon popout window hinges and rubbers

Post by GEMWRC »

I have found a place in the Netherlands that reproduces their own aftermarket hinge rubbers and chrome hinges for the pop out rear windows in Coupes and Wagons.

The rubbers are a softer design, which helps in installation and removal. The Chrome Hinges are the lesser common Opel type that glue to the windows , they are double sided and fixed with an epoxy also offered for purchase.

From what i can find out they are available in 3 differant kits :
4 x hinges and rubbers
4 x hinges
4 x rubbers

They should cost under $40. This is yet to be confirmed

Who is interested in a set of these new rubbers. Nothing is confirmed as yet but i was hoping we could get a group buy happening.

Updated 27/7/12 Chrome Hinges pictured below wont cover existing window holes.

This Group buy is just be for sets of rubbers now . The Hinges dont cover the holes in our windows . A test set is on its way, If im happy with the quality i will set a price and ask for deposits for the group buy. If you have the Opel type windows with out holes pm me

I have received the first set of hinges rubbers . They slipped straight in place with some soapy water and i also removed it in a minute without damaging the new rubber. Much better than the 20+ minutes and damage that can be caused to the body and rubber from levering the old s%*tty ones out. I will be placing a large order of 20+ sets of rubbers once pricing is confirmed.

Please continue to show your interest , wont be long now.

Updated 28/8/12

I have 20 Rubber kits (kit of 4 rubbers) on the way at $45 each delivered . $40 for additional kits with combined postage.

I have one Chrome rubber and hinge kit coming for a GemsWA member with no holes in his TX Wagon windows that kit is $75 delivered.

Payments can be made now to get in quick on the first order, but please remember these are coming from overseas and are still over a week away.

PM me for payment details with your name / address etc if you want priority . Priority is given in order of payments received .

This is the List of members who are interested , let me know if things have changed or i missed you out .

It has come to my attention that these hinges actually suit some wagons - Yet to see a coupe with them here .. Rubber cuffs suit all wagons and coupes .

I know one person here in Perth who needs/wants a hinge set . anyone else ?
