Slotted Upper Ball Joints

Post by OTD 079 »

Hi there,

I am considering purchasing some SLOTTED upper ball joints from the following site based in USA - Big thanks to Gene for providing the info as he has bought his from here already...

part number:
MEVOTECH MK5292
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php

Postage is just about the same as the component so thought it would be worth seeing who else was interested in them and sharing postage.

Looks like they only have 10 in stock. They must be all in different locations as the postage does weird things the more you put in...

2 off cost $50.69
4 off cost $79.72 ($39.86 set)
6 off cost $130.26 ($43.42 set)
8 off cost $180.95 ($45.23 set)
10 off cost $231.75 ($46.35 set)

These would be delivered to Brisbane and shipping from Brisbane to your address would be added to price.

Actually, to be honest, there is not enough savings in multiple units to make a real difference.

Change of thought - I will be purchasing 4 items (enough for 2 cars). I will use one set and will be happy to sell off the spare set $40 plus postage from Brisbane to your address.

Searching the part number, they are also available through ebay in US...

So if anyone wants the spare set, please PM me.

At least now the info is easy to find on the site and you can track them down yourselves as well.

Cheers,
Matthew

Hi Matthew

As you suggested I ordered 2 directly and it cost me $50.74.

The reason the pricing is all ove rthe place is that the parts are scattered accross the USA. I originally orders 4 but the cost was more than double becasue the parts would have to be mailed from different locations.

So bulk buying not necessarily cheaper here.

Great site though, lots of piazza brake part and ball joints cheap (except for postage)
