Matt's (OTD 079) 1979 TD Gemini Wagon


Engine:
Sr20det red top (S13)
ARE front mount intercooler
ARE Surge Tank
Blitz pod filter
Custom twin dump pipe with 3in mandrel bent exhaust
Factory computer

Gear Box:
Sr20det 5 speed

Differential:
Standard Salisbury diff with strengthened torque tube

Front Brakes:
Piazza slotted rotors and calipers
Race Brake pads

Rear Brakes:
VN slotted rotors and calipers
Bendix Ultimate pads

Suspension:
Pedders front springs
King Spring rear springs
Telaflow adjustable shock absorbers
Urethane bushes throughout
Standard front and rear sway bar

Wheels:
17 x 7 ANZ Alias – Shadow Chrome
215 40 17 Nankeng rubber

Exterior:
Paint – metallic purple 2pak
Shaved door locks
Shaved side repeater indicators
Relocated rear number plate
Escort side mirrors
Retrofitted rear window wiper and squirter

Interior:
Re trimmed seats and door trims in black and grey velour
Re covered dash
Autotechnia leather steering wheel (changed since pics were taken)
Electric windows
Remote central locking and alarm
Autometer gauges – boost, oil press, water temp, A/F ratio & volts

Stereo:
Panasonic MP3 head unit
Alpine 5 1/4 splits in custom door pods up front
Alpine 6x9in rears
2 x 10in Kicker Comp subs in sealed enclosure
Kicker ZR240 amp for subs
Alpine amp for splits

Best quarter mile time so far:
13.2 @ 106 mph

well u car is very nice im hoping to see it one night that last pic was random was dat ur old motor or something im interested in ur ecu on last photo lol

Thanks for the comments so far guys.

The last pick I through in just to show the old set up before the engine conversion.

Was running twin side draft carbies. Then when I put the A/C in, I could not fit the air filters on any more.

I decided to get a custom stainless steel air box made to and use a pod filter.

Love the front mount install and the fact the car is relatively intact. What are your core dimmensions, where did you source the intercooler from and is it possible to get pics of how much metal was removed?

The cooler was custom made for me at ARE at Brendale.
It used a 57mm thick 300mm high tube and fin core.
I don't have the exact dimensions available.

There was a fair bit of cutting to be done to the front apron. You can see that there is not a lot of metal (or grill) left.
