The 2.4 comes from a opel frontera or a omega.
The standard kadett could be bought with a 1.2, 1.6, 1.9 injection and a 2.0 injection. The last two came only with/in the GTE. ( very expensive & rare nowedays)
The rear disc brakes calipers come from a ford
The transmission from a opel manta

Ok, they are replacing the sewers and the pavement in front of my house, so I can't use the kadett for a few weeks. A friend off mine gave/lent me a revised 2.2 ltr engine, wich i will spray paint, and make it look good in the next few weeks. It's 200 cc less in comparisan with the 2.4, but the oil usage of 2,5 ltr every 3 weeks is a bit much. Nobody dares to try to ride behind me, because of the smoke screen I have behind me
As soon as I can, I will place some pictures

Finally, the engine is build in. Had major problems finding the right flywheel bolts. Tomorrow finish up the wiring and the exhaust.
Within a few weeks hoping to find some parts to make the double webers complete. Already found a tuner who will tune the carbs. really looking forward to it!!!

New update:
Tried to start the engine for the first time. It didn't go as planned
I installed everything as planned, and let the fuel pump running for a few minutes. Tried to start the engine, but the crankshaft blokked. Didn't have a clue, so I removed the spark plugs. So I did a second attempt. But in the meantime (I asume) the cilinders where filled with gas because there's something wrong with the injection system. While trying to get the crankshaft turning again, the gas blew out the sparkplug holes, ignited, and set the intire surroundings on fire. Tried to put the flames out with water, it helped a bit. But the real savier was my neighbour, who came a long with a fire extinguiser, wich put the flames out.
The damage: I have a corner, where all the restored goodies are, they got the full load. The wiring off the ignition is burned up. Several things al melted, but it could have bin a lot worse
