Any luck on those chargers Jonno?
Yeha someone suggested Forster.

Got yours. Amy reckons Gregs is in a draw so I'll have a look tonight.

To be honest I'm with Greg on the Port thing.
We've been, we've cruised, We've annoyed the establishment.

New place to so Andy can lay some new tread

Yeah no worries. If you need it in a hurry I can mail it to you?

Failing that the spare room is always empty if you feel like random cruising/partying in Canberra.

I've looked around Kiama and theres a fair amount of "scenic" drives and s*#t.
Not to mention if its warm enough the jamberoo adventure park thingo is just up the road.

Did some research into the camp ground and it looks great.
Fk just realised Nimbus had already looked at the same place.

Looks like better amentities than the place in port.

without looking at a map and figuring out where these places are..

My suggestion is a smaller town , somewhere with a big lake? and camping grounds/caravan park. A place with a good round trip cruise , a mountain ( not too steep , but excellent for photo opportunities ), and maybe a good club or pub for nighttime, so the remaining days can be spent lazing around talkin crap and drinking.
Maybe even a town where they are holding a car show , so we can "reprezen7 Yo' " and clean up a few trophies from the locals.

discuss........
Getting too old for this s*#t!!

i think you guys are potentially unwittingly going to sabotage what could be a good annual event by moving it around

I can see the growth potential at port, if it stays there, like all great events it takes time to establish and it could be big, even organise a car show around the gems (something of which i have been thinking of doin for a few years)

we stayed there once and they had a rod show in town, was pretty cool

if you keep moving it , it will almost guarantee a small turn out everytime

if it stays then it could grow to the point that all the SA boys (maybe even WA) would more so inclined to go

the road west from port inland has one of the most awesome roads in OZ, i would love to run it in the gem

just my 2c

cheers

x2.

For what its worth, the missus was getting a hair cut in port while we were there, she was chatting with the hairdresser and mentioned that we were up from canberra on holidays with the gemini club.
The hair dresser replied to that "Oh, they were here last year too werent they?"

So obviously people are remembering it.

having said that, i will try to make it next year if its at port, but if its at kiama, then im definately in, with a very good chance of bringing the zed if its running then.

yea next year i am in for port, as the missus likes it there, so will be a family holiday too, and she can do her own thing while i play gems...

also she wont mind going for a long drive as we now have a new vehicle capable of towing the gem in complete comfort.... :D
