How was the coma?

Great pics and it was good to see everyone getting in and having a go.

Even better ... feedback from the MG guys. OZGEM are welcome back anytime. Good reflection on the behaviour as a group or car owners.

Car hoons ... not so much. Nice putting some faces to forum names.
Thanks everyone for attending! What a great day I had even though I didn't have a go. Big big thanks to Dave for doing the shared timing. He rolled up in the morning and sat out front to make sure everyone found the driveway ok, then got roped into timing at the start line. Top work mate, cant thank you enough...

I survived the day on about an hour sleep due to night shift on Friday night so sorry if I was a bit vague to anyone. It didn't affect the timing much though, as Dave and I were almost exactly on the money all day. It was good enough for competitors to gauge how they were going anyhow.

Would love to have met the rest of the Nationals gathering. Maybe next time eh? Jonno, you have a few missed calls on your phone. :? If I hadn't slipped into the aforementioned coma on Saturday night I would have been in a condition to come on the cruise on Sunday. I'll be better organised next year...

Speaking of which, if it is decided that the Nationals will be held in/near Newcastle next year, MGCCN is happy to run this event again on the larger new track. It'll be approx twice as long and much faster. With more entrants it will end up much cheaper.

As a bonus, all the competitors that were fully paid have a refund of $49 coming their way. When you get a chance PM me your bank details and I'll return it to your account. This will bring the Hillclimb account back to $0.

Cheers Bill :)

Great pics ... my old 80s statement Gem scrubbed up ok.

Loved the CDT ... very tidy and good to see it's driven "properly."

Serious cudos to everyone who came along to the hillclimb and had a crack ... especially the guys who'd travelled from interstate just to be there.

To those who didn't show ... SOFT!

Awesome pics everyone! I had a blast. Nearly did a wall tap at one point (by accident), but in the end I don't think I could have got that thing around the track much faster than I did! I had some random minor issues resulting in some wacky times, like my handbrake ratchet mechanism jamming and bringing me to a complete stop on one run, and then second gear disappearing (worn linkages) a few times!

Still, didn't bin it, didn't break it, and had an awesome time. I have pics and some videos too, but need to find the time to go through them!

And, for the inevitable pissing contest, here's our best lap times, in order!

34.43 - whiteboy - Gemini
34.68 - cazz - Skyline R32
35.52 - gem202 - Gemini
36.22 - ross - Gemini
36.46 - danman - Gemini
36.60 - roddy - Gemini
37.22 - antus - Gemini
37.27 - nankervis08 - Gemini
37.46 - archangel62 - Piazza
37.92 - pierce - Datsun 1600
37.99 - murd - Datsun 1600
38.43 - rob - Corolla
38.48 - ajs911 - Rodeo SR20
43.43 - gemsince88 - Econovan

I like that besides the R32, the Geminis are all at the top! Go team! hahaha
