HillClimb Nationals 2014
Re: HillClimb Nationals 2014
Captured the much anticipated maiden runs of the Super 6 Gemini and a certain hill climbing cherry being popped.
Maiden voyage and the intended R & D was had amidst much character building and knuckle skin.
The exhaust got snagged when we loaded it on the trailer hence the "morse code" noise coming from the exhaust touching on the body.

Re: HillClimb Nationals 2014
Hey guys
I'm Nat, I was running the yellow ae86 on Saturday.
Just wanted to pop my head in an say thanks for letting me gate crash the party, was a great event and I had a lot of fun. Really nice to meet a bunch of you guys as well, although I am not great at remembering names so please don't be offended if I ask your name again next time we meet!
Some great photos from the event - Firebug, is it ok if I put the ones of me on Facebook? Will credit Wayne obviously. I managed to get some GoPro footage of my quickest run too if anyone is interested. I think I need to look at backing my rear swaybar off slightly:

If anyone is keen to do some more hillclimbing let me know and I can point you in the right direction. Thanks again for letting me come for a lap!

Re: HillClimb Nationals 2014
Thanx Dave for posting those. For some reason YouTube would not let me embed the video here...
Dave and I will be doing more climbing of hills so any advice would be most valuable...
ps: LOL at Bryn handing you a handful of my supercharger belt at the end of your runs...
Thanx for coming out Nat. I for one enjoyed a bigger variety of cars. You have a very tidy example of the ae86 and your runs looked very smooth from in and outside the car. Knock yourself out with the photos mate. Wayne will have some on his Facebook page eventually --> https://www.facebook.com/pages/Wayne-Ke ... 9777621797 You can contact him through there for more photos if needed...Course_Out wrote:Hey guys

Cheers Sam and Sam's brother. I was going to dig in a bit harder in the burnout but I had some sort of maintenance happening on the start line and I was a bit sheepish in case I ran him over.202Gem wrote:Nice vid Course_out, your car definitely handles a lot better than mine lol!

Re: HillClimb Nationals 2014
Magic, thanks Bill! I think I have a lot more time to pull out of it. The rear swaybar was a bit stiff, and the rubber isn't really the best. It's all fun though!
Looking forward to having you guys at more events, the more the merrier! And I was a bit concerned about the belt - there's only one on my whole car, so that would've meant no alternator or water pump!

Re: HillClimb Nationals 2014
im not sure where you got that info from Bill, cause a photo I took of it showed VS202 doing 18 runs, but those extras where on the line above in reverse order (to fit them all in!)

Nah Ryan was also driving the skyline which I think he did the fast laps in. I just had him down as driving the BMW as it was his primary car. I will study the form again Sam, I may have mistaken his runs as someone else. I also took a photo of the board...
