Re: HillClimb Nationals 2014
long story short, when tyres get to canvas they kinda loose alot of grip! i was in a power slide and they all of a sudden, around it went!
i am trying to edit and upload the in car video for yas, its 3gb and everytime i try to do it my computer dies!
Your son got some great photos Bill! i have a few extra that i'll put up shortly ... i have alot but they are all very much the same as yours!

Well worth it if only to watch 202 fry tires at a rapid rate.

Re: HillClimb Nationals 2014
ran out to the shed, ripped the tyre off and got a pic of the front....
so i probably shouldn't have had the last run, there was like a fibre of canvas sticking out of my left rear, i figured it would be enough for one more run ... in hind sight i should have trailered it then! anyways, such is life, so i also had a look at the track afterwards, there is a nice powerskid mark that was solid rubber, then went to patchy rubber marks on the road and that was just as it went out on me!
after looking at the tyre i am not surprised hehehehe
sorry dodgy photo, and very muddy hahaha .... so the valance panel is suitable stuffed, i straightened it out a bit since the crash, also the tow hook was bent up but i straightened that up to get home!
also you can see there is a nice dint in the front support between the chassis rails, luckily it hasn't ploughed into my nice new alloy radiator and the oil cooler is not damaged either!
i have to get it up on stands, it appears to have a nice exhaust leak since the crash, and there was ALOT of mud on the wastegate (it is the blue part just above the sway bar on the right in this pic above), so possibly cracked a weld or something, anyways, very lucky outcome considering
