James craike lives in cessnock, he might be able to suggest caravan parks or such. Not much beach around there though lol. As for nelsons bay, there's about 8 different bays in the area and probably 30 caravan parks, your not limited to just nelsons bay. Is also has shopping areas, ten pin bowling, it has a gokart area nearby, put put golf, driving range, and its closeish to the warners bay go karts also. Don't know if the nelson bay one does night runs. Beaches obviously. Lol. And close to the hillclimb track.

See how we go with the cessnock idea.
I'd like to visit the Nelson bay area first before looking out.
It's not far to either regardless.

I've got to chat to Bill about the hill climb first anyway.
They may want it run differently or not at all.
Which ultimately will change the location as well.

I think most of these responses are kind of assuming we'll be using the same hillclimb track. Although I do think it would be cool next year as they would've finished the extension, we can't forget that there will be other tracks around. Have you guys thought about the driver training track (will check the name and update my post when I find out). It's not a fast track, but is technical.

Edit: Marulin Driver Training Centre. It's much closer to SA, Victoria and Canberra. Also it's near Golbourn which by the looks of it has a lot of forestry which will make for a good cruise route.

Another suggestion is close to Sydney Motorsport Park, as the go kart place there is apparently excellent. But at the end of the day, we have to do what will make Cowie happy.

The go kart place there is not excellent. Track is good, karts are pretty s*#t.

Maraluan Isn't too bad. I haven't raced there but told it's pretty laid back .
As for the Ringwood hillclimb track yeah your right it ISN'T required that we use that track again.
Lot of Pros to using again but I'm not phased.

Also I think someone mentioned something about Kiama having one?

There's a hillclimb in Cooma but I wouldn't suggest it as it's too close to Canberra which = gay.
If we had enough numbers we could look at doing a full blown track day at Goulburn. I think to run on your own it costs about $256 (which includes cams licencing etc) not saying we rule it out but it might be a bit hard for some to afford to run there.
Also it doesn't haveto be a hillclimb can be some small supersprint, motorkhana or even a skid pan?

Might be worth sussing out somewhere with hills. After Roddys slider stories I wouldn't mind getting into that again.

Cowie is keen for go karts so got to ensure there's one of those around to.

Is there a reason the hill climb couldn't be done on Sunday and be made part of the cruise route ??

There is also an indoor go karts in Thornton just for your info, called extreme go karts or similar....

As for the Sunday hill climb I think you'd find some people might have family commitments on that day rather than Saturday .... But it's worth suggesting I guess!

I'd lean on the probably not side.
Generally hillclimbs will take most of the day anyway. If you wanted to do the hillclimb and cruise be stuck between going to them both.

It's probably easier logistically to have them on separate days.
That way nothing is rushed.

know what I mean
