So my water pump arrived , ordered an STC483 , but found out i really needed an STC488 , so now have to hope i can return it.

Also stumbled onto the original distributor , that doesnt pull itself apart , tomorrow i'll swap out dizzy's and see if it'll start so i can move it!

So im going to update this a little..

Was meant to be ready for 2020 gem nationals, but the corona virus cancelled EVERYTHING!, so i'd been tinkering away at this thing to get it repaired and painted for the big cruise day. Anyways... Car in shed, rust cut out and repaired, primered and painted, then interior fitted into it. Pics can tell the story!!

Here you can see someone had stripped the paint back and let it sit ( wasnt me, but i did have it sitting outside for quite a while ) so it was taken back to fresh metal.

Laat pic here, is the starter motor, showing its mod to be able to clear the steering column.. Now dont forget, the column was moved over approx an inch. also replaced the welch plugs in the blck as they were corroded and one was leaking badly.

Front and rear screen are in, grill is cable tied into place, all thats left is put passenger seat into car, take it off the stands, coolant in radiator, and fit bonnet. Then it should be good to test drive and make sure everything still works and doesnt leak anymore water!!

Yes. its highly acidic and eats paint if you leave it on too long.

So bonnet is ready for undercoat, and the speedo issue has been fixed, had a broken cable!! Also modded shifter so it now only starts in park, as the lnkage is slightly out and it wuld start in drive!!! Almost ready to go to a new home who will maybe drive it instead of have it sitting around like i do!
