p.s. head gasket is a durapro graphlex graphite D1 gasket, will be running that to begin with, will upgrade later to a ridgecrest copper if it gives any problems.

too easy man... and cheers.
got the E8 all wired in except for the ignition side which i'm still sorting out what i'm using (piazza distributor body turned into a crank angle sensor using MX5 bits i think) and which coils i end up using, going waste spark, have some CE 1.8 lancer coils here i might try, or some galant VR4 ones, i'm using 2 X CSI multiple spark discharge units on it either way...
ooh and i might have my head back by the end of the week if i'm lucky (wrong retainers were sent)

^^^ G series engines have a really long whippy crank, crap bore spacing, and a timing chain. 4Z engines have a nice compact forged steel crank, even bore spacing (so no constantly blowing head gaskets like a big boost big bore G series) and no dramas with timing chains or tensioners.
also you're limited to just over 1800cc's with a G series, and QLD transport rules allow me to install a 2280cc engine with a turbo in my car. so i did!
also the 4Z bolts in if ur smart
