looks insane in that bay, and outside is old school tough, dont change it

tell me about that oil cooler, im contemplating changing to late model front just so i can store s*#t in the front of my coupe lol

yeah i kinda like the contrast between clean tasteful exterior and the batshit insane engine bay :) almost every person that hasnt seen it before, when they see under the bonnet, goes HOLY f*#k!!! :lol:

AND YES ITS RUNNING FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE NOVEMBER 2001!

i REALLY hate camshaft dowel pins right now. oh well at least its not 2 days before jambo.

You get the Gem going Dave? Ryan was telling me you had some mishap last week, hoping to see this out at Jambo on the weekend :D :D
SP20's are nice, but are in no comparison to a gem, I need another one :(

yeah had it running but the cam dowel pin worked out of the cam drive and the cam spun in relation to the pulley, result = 2 bent valves. i'll probably have it running again by the end of the week but i havnt had time to finish the 8 other jobs i needed to do to get it useable! should be on the road very very soon though :)

yeah i want to get it driveable so i can get the chev down to my workshop! i made a longer dowel now so it is mechanically held in by the cam bolt washer.. i'm gonna take the opportunity to finesse a few things i wasnt 100% happy with while its apart though, like the wastegate outlet pipe.

UPDATE!

well i thought f*#k it, if i'm changing the wastegate outlet pipe i may as we'll put a smaller gate on it, so it's getting a 50mm one. and a smaller wastegate outlet pipe and some new hpc coating on it..

fuel system brackets nearly done, clutch hydraulic line made, just needs a reservoir and i should have a working clutch system.

i also sent the haltech back with the 4 bar map sensor so they can work out why the map sensor wasnt reading properly!
