Shhhhhhhhhhit, long time between updates but still not enough progress. In yet another change, looks like turbo motor will not be going ahead in this one. Too much of a nightmare/too much f*#cking around to get it driveable so ill just leave it for the coupe.
Grainy shot of the arse all buttoned up. Bootlid needs readjusting, boot seal is wayyyyyyyyyyy too stiff - bolts werent tightened enough so its lifted the lid. f*#cking panelbeaters Also need to redo the LHR bar mount because the farking thing snapped off when the car was pulled on the rack.
Rear end is also assembled. Bushes n s*#t were ok so they were left alone. Adjustable panhard rod, got new shortened ACDelco OEM shocks for $60. Score. Camira parts for the win.
Now the not so fun s*#t. Upholstery. Went out and bought 5m of GMH black vinyl [from the HK range] and 1m of HD/HR Premier roof lining material. This is basically going to be used for the door trims, pillars etc - dont want to see any metal apart from tops of doors. Carpet from TruFit [can confirm fit is excellent]. Still going, this may take a while.

Re: My TD Gemini - CHANGE OF HEART
So. TFHOON wanted an update. Sad bit is i havent done all THAT much in 2 years apart from change my mind a fair few times over what to do with the f*#cking thing Everything from Engine to wheels has been changed atleast twice. Anyway.
SL\E Trims
Can see the Nardi wheel and dash with factory tacho cluster and air chief radio in this one. Yes the windows are dirty i know.
Interior s*#t
These bits need to go into it
http://www.nick.holdengemini.net/_data/ ... d81-me.jpg[/img]
Having been off the road for so long meant i need to put a stocky back in it to get the car through rego ago. After a solid two weeks after work each night of pulling hair out trying to undo and unhack wiring that had been cut twice [first for the DOHC then for the SOHC] i finally got the prick of a thing fired up.
Lights work
And for the first time in f*#k knows how many years, i got to drive it....even if it was only 4m out of the garage
Plans going forward are to finish assembling the interior, shouldnt take too long as the hateful c*#t of a dash [frame is slightly twisted] is in and ive run all the wiring for stereo, central locking etc. Just requires me actually having spare time to do it. Suspension i have a spare set of arms that will be getting painted and rebushed, need to put the Koni rears in. Not happy with the paint so ill need to rub the clear down over the holidays as its booked in to be recleared and flow coated in January.
Wheels are long gone [black meshies are off the white TE], ill probably be using a set of BBS 5 stud meshies as ive got a VT kit sitting around doing nothing that i may aswell use.
Engine? f*#k. When i know, youll know.
