Tylahs Gem - sneak peak of painted car last page

Post by LOK15 »

Poor woman , been waiting almost 2 years for me to make a start on this car for her...

Purchased from Elky, it had some front end damage from a crash. the body is exceptionally good for rust in all floorpans and bootfloor.

Is this Toms wife?

That front end looks sad. Wouldn't be easier to chop the front off and weld a new one on?

I would have thought less time consuming.

Time you could spend resto'ing the purple coupe or getting the V8 faster or more reliable

Little more work thisafternoon/evening.

Got bonnet to open and close ok , but drivers side is sitting high , so it'll have to be pulled down. Easy job , but probably not for another few days.

It's just Ashame the young fella didn't treat it right though, I think matt Hudson had the engine that goes with this car

Bonnet and guard now line up, pulled down very well and with little effort!

Front set up to have a beating

Getting there......

Pretty much at the limit of what hammers and dollies can do , apart from 2 small sections that need more massaging.
