so theoretically the t700 from an auto v6 commo will bolt up to one of these?

I would only need to sort out the flex plate and converter yeah?

that would make my vg20et conversion idea much more appealing.

nup, unless you use an adapter plate, the t5 box uses a separate bell housing to bolt to the Nissan engine, where as the bell housing on the Nissan boxes is part of the gearbox. But I cant see why you cant just use an auto out of a Nissan 300zx, navara or a pathfinder? I'm sure there as good as a th700.

I'm only worried about the size and how much I'd need to stretch the transmission tunnel.

if a 300zx auto will fit I'm happy to use one, but I don't want to lay out only to find out that the seats won't even fit because the trans tunnel has to be widened.

Might be best to go to the wreckers and put a nissan auto next to a trimatic, see what the differences are.

Powder coated the rocker covers crinkle black.

Covers again.

Side shot of the pos.

Image
Gutted the inside of the upper plenum for better upper rpm flow. Had a aluminum plate welded onto the top. This and the bottom will also be ceramic coated.

Image
Relocated the throttle body to the side, changed from the stock 52mm to a KA24 60mm Throttle body.

Image
Inside the plenum.

Image
Some axle snapping Yokohama A048 semi slicks, 225/50/15.

Image
Bought 12 Bosch 035 injectors for $5each, 392cc at 3bar.

Image
New headers I made, just need to finish smoothing them out and welding some flanges to the ends. Then have them ceramic coated.

Image
FJO Wide band kit, laptop data logging etc.

Image
B&M Fuel pressure gauge, blackout style.

The only thing I need to get now is a new turbo, Looking at a Garrett GT3582r .82 exhaust housing, internal waste gate. Or similar aka gt3540r or xr6 turbo. So if you have a good one pm me!

Well I just blew the head gasket for sure, well water out the exhaust is a good sign its gone, still drove it home.

f*#k me it flew all over the place in 3rd gear, 4th gear and pop goes the radiator hose :) oh well. I'm thinking the deck of this block is warped. 3rd headgasket and I only connected up the turbo last night and only 7psi so meh.

Thrashed it till the tyres blew and the temp guage hardly budged, unlike before.

I did rotate the starter motor slightly so the solenoid on it would clear, you might have to buy an adjustable one.
