ooooft lol welll thers really 2 wires you must locate 1 is ignition power to the coil so teh coil has power on reds,2) and the earth for the coil, if you use rb dizzy etc thats all you need to power your coil up,

if you use standard points you need these to wires again as well as the resitor and a gt40r or standard coil. then to make life easy just run a wire from neg side of coil to the lil post on the dizzy housing and bazingo

if u need the colour/trace of the wires im sure i can find em

Using the bosch module.

Ignition and ground should be no problem to find.
Isn't as messy as it looks.

Just remember cutting and chucking something..
Still have the coil here in a box somewhere, so that's no probs.

Just unsure of this "unknown item" :\

Found it.

Little black box that sits right next to the coil.

Anyone know what that's called?

Keen to get this going and sorted.

factory wise , there is no litte black box that sits next to the coil , its usually a white block with terminal ends on it.

Found some old instructions

Had to remove the ballast resistor.

Will I need that back in when I stick a 1.6 in.

Thanks heaps for that offer Lok. I'll definitely let you know when things are getting sorted.

the ballast resister is onli needed if you use points with a gt40r or any resisted coil its just inline with the powere anyhow so its no major issue

So even if I run the standard coil, I won't need this?

This is what's happened with this thing.

Last we saw it was sitting bonnetless in Byron. Previous page I think.

Then I moved to my gf's house in Miami, and we all know how that turned out..

Off to Varsity Lakes.

Sat there for afew weeks.

Then moved to Mudgeeraba
Image

Sat there for afew weeks, then went on a holiday to purplegemini, Nathans place.

Now, what feels like months. It's finally back home in Sourhport.

Head goes off this week, hopefully tomoro or Tuesday to get checked over buy someone again and we go from there.

Engines still on EOI, but now that it's sitting infront of me, pretty keen to finally get it going.

Had heaps of encouragement by u guys when it was getting put together.
Also had HEEAAPPSS of people interested in buying the car as it sits.

It's not for sale. Don't think it ever will be.

So fingers crossed the head can be sorted and we can go from there.
If not. We'll see what happens.

Its been almost a year since iv even seen this car...
Not really, probably more like 6-8 months.

Im not really looking forward to seeing it again, as its been sitting out in the weather under a tree back at Nathan, purplegemini's house.. haha.

Anyway, Car comes back down to Byron this weekend.
Assess everything then and see how far its back tracked.

Known fact.
Went and spoke to Aussie Heads in Tweed.
Block is getting pulled out Thurs/Fri week and taken up there.
Block is getting pulled apart and starting all over again.
That way NOTHING can be wrong.

Told him to get it running on a stand, then call me ;)

So once thats all done.
Brakes
Tailshaft
Tune
Engineers
Rego.
Plus 1,000,000 other things I havnt even thought about yet.
And will find out when it all gets back here.

Yew.
