Its a start I can say.
Engines off to the builders on Tuesday. Currently sitting in the back of my car, waiting.
So dropped engine and gear box. Pulled passenger side guard off.
Tidied a few things up in the bay and mostly talk about where to go next.
I think once the engines dropped of, get drivers guard off for one and asses damage.
There's a fair good amount of rust in the drivers side under the guard.
Do these boxs need to be replaced as they are?
Or can I just put a plate in?

So finally get time to take the block and rest of engine parts upto Tweed to get pulled down, cleaned up and re-assembled.
Couldn't find the guys number and forgot the name of the shop, make the assumption he'd be there.
Surprise, he's not.
Finally find his number.
Apparently he's cut the ends of his fingers off 4 weeks ago!
Wont be open for another 4-6 weeks.
Half of my engine is already his shop, so no engine progress will be done for a few weeks to a month now.. spewing.
In the meantime, I'll probably try to get paint and panel work done, get it all ready for when the engines ready to drop in.

first thing i would do is literally take everything out of engine bay ( everything)
Front brake lines, master cylinder and booster, wiper motor...
pull the wiring harnesses back through into the cabin,
if your going to paint this then the best way to save money is for you to do the prep work, its not hard work just tedious and long, (plus when your bored or alone) you can be out there sanding the bay down, it doesnt have to be down to bare metal....
Just trying to inspire you, plus alot of my own ideas for things came from prepping the bay
eg. hidden wiring, those A pillar braces, new brake lines
it does suck at the start but just do a section at a time... for some reason im in love with my shock struts the paint came up totally awesome their when i sprayed my bay

Iv gotta see what this welder dude's like, mate of a mate.....
I'v got a loooonng time untill I can drive this thing again, so will probably end up in pulling the hole thing apart..
Pretty spewing really, engine was getting pretty close to being completed!
Now that I have more time, I'll be going back to the builder and seeing what he recommends..
Engine bay will definitely be getting stripped. Just ran out of time yesterday.
So Saturday should be the day it'll be bare.. Hopefully.
Sort out what im going to cut and what im going to keep.
Door handles will be coming off.
Unnecessary holes in the bay filled.
Hello 10 year build.
