Re: 84 TG Rally Car Project
Just out of interest, how much did you pay?
Have been told that these are $40 per shell, with 20 shells per engine that's about $800 per set.

Re: 84 TG Rally Car Project
It's nice to know that if I get desperate I could still order a set.
But I have 2 sets to go through before I need to resort to those measures lol.

Re: 84 TG Rally Car Project
Wow thats a light flywheel. Would love one for my g200z they are the same right?. You not going to run itbs from jenvey (or another brand) why staying carby or do you have to keep it old school for regs? My Engine will be back shortly.

Re: 84 TG Rally Car Project
They are the same flywheel yeah, really good piece of
kit. But at around $650 not many people would pay that!
I'm staying with carbs on the twin cam, I can run the fuel
injection with the rules but you have to run the std inlet manifold
& injector setup. It is a dinosaur old EFI system that would have
too many problems being reliable, also finding parts??
Simple & reliable with the old carbys! And they sound awesome

Re: 84 TG Rally Car Project
Who are you getting it through? Will have to look at getting one before everything goes back into mine. Thats abit silly with the rules that you can run twin carbies but not itbs. But rules are rules and carbies would make and be easier than the std efi i bet.

Re: 84 TG Rally Car Project
I have a mate that lives in Japan that gets them
direct from JUN. They are a 3 month lead time too.
I am still waiting for mine to get here.
I would prefer carbys over EFI on this engine anyway.
They are simpler & have a lot less things to go wrong

Any updates.
Re: 84 TG Rally Car Project
Haven't got much done with the Coupe lately, too much work.
I did make some bracing for the inner guards the other weekend.
