Cool. After being 202 shouldn't be much drama to get in.

nah its just things like, there was a leak in the trans oil pan gasket, also the commodore has front hump sump, we need to fit a rear hump sump..... also need to change some fittings and hoses for trans oil cooler (as i kept all mine)

but yeah we'll just plug away at it.

When is the next planned race day for the Gem? Also did you guys modify a new sump or did you have a spare '202 into Gemini' sump lying around?

i don't know alot about Gemini autos other than they are trimatic, so i am going to say probably identical other than the bellhousing maybe ?

i have heard a Gemini converter is a good bolt in hi stall option for a 202 .....

as far as this box goes, its got extra hi energy clutches, and shift kitted to suit application, other than that its just had a fresh rebuild and billet 2 ring servo piston. and its got a dominator ~4500rpm converter in it suited for NOS.

slowly making progress on this, motor and box finally in for good, had to wait for oil cooler lines and shifter to get sorted as they are pretty much impossible with the gearbox in the car!

The surge tank is the old one i used to have so it bolted straight in, and the NOS bottle will fit nicely in the middle and then the fuel cell which is only a small one will go over on the right.

we have a few welding jobs to do, like joining the extractors to the 3 inch tail pipe i had on it with the turbo motor, also need to do some welding for fuel tank mounts then it will be close to having most of the big jobs sorted, then will be some wiring required along with mounting nitrous hardware in the engine bay and such.

we have just on 5 weeks to get it sorted!

Yep the motor that is going into it is what i used to run in the Gemini before i went turbo, 13.5:1 comp, methanol, reasonable cam, good ported head, made 199.6HP at wheels back when i had it in there .... that pushed it to 12.78 over the 1/4 and 8.17 or something over the 1/8th ....

we are hoping for mid to low 7's with the gas over the 1/8th :)
