Ok so at the start of this week I got stuck right in .

Using an adjustable speed buff with and 8" 80grit pad , factory paint came off fairly easy and I was down to bare metal ..

The Tail gate was a bit more stubborn and I found a dent that was filled with deadly lead by Chip foose or some Vanner from the 80s .
This dam dent is proving to be a real cock and keeps popping out .

I started stripping a spare tailgate until i realized with all the holes and rust repairs needed it was dead too me ..
This is how I get windows out . Lots of flathead screwdrivers and some tricks . All for nothing .

Image

My mate who was helping me pulled the rear wheel arch out with his slide hammer and got some things straighter for me .
He was using a metal body file a lot which I had not see before and reshaped the damage as best he could before filling it .

Image

Now it sits in Etch primer , so it doesnt rust out on me .

Image

Undecided which area i will strip next .
Maybe the passenger side , or my doors / Bonnet ...
But really ... Stickers need stickers FFS

Going good so far guys and girls .

Still plugging away , now I have to start the inside of panels , engine bay , guards .
Probably spent about $200 on materials so far .
The 'Diggers' brand paint stripper works good . Much better than the Jelly "One Shot" Stripper .
