We would prefer that than the usual "my car has 300kw atw but it's a mild g161 and it's never even been close to a dyno story"
Coupe rebuild number 6..

These birds know more than me.

His head would be no good for what I want either.

High comp N/a spec head would be not much chop under boost load :(
Why I got rid of my other head. No point holding onto it.

Oh s*#t something happened with this hallelujah!

Not very interesting update really. Been busy with other projects and family s*#t so haven't had a chance to do anything.

Anyway in typical bogan fashion I decided to work on one of my cars on Australia day.
So I looked at the thing for half an hour looked at the 4z decided to at the vary least make some effort to get the bucket that was residing in the coupes engine bay.

20mins (did this all quietly as my missus was sleeping) got the shitcan out and pulled the head off.
Number 4s got rust in the bore bunch of other odd s*#t in there.
Packed the head up so Elkin can fix his 2L quickly, sustained an injury (jammed my finger in the jack handle) and dumped the 1600 next to the bin where the f#*ker belongs.
Ohh if anyone wants it it's there needs a head and a rebuild.

My gift to you and it's free!!!
Free s*)ts good right???

Anyway. With the motivation I decided to cast my efforts onto the
4zheadache.

f*#k me the c*#t is absolute filth. Absolutely covered in god knows what.
Oil road grime piss maybe?

Figured first thing was to drain whatever was sitting in the sump.
Jesus Christ in heaven what came out of there was far from pleasant.

I've worked out it was gasket sealant, coolant and oil form some sort of poo sludge in the bottom of the sump.
Got in with a screw driver and drained it.

Super...

Anyway got on with it and pulled all the rest of the bits and pieces off.
Just need a rattle gun to get the flywheel off and pull the oil pump off and its throw on engine stand and pull pistons out.

So got a list of s*#t I need to do when the $ rolls in.
Hone and deck the block.
Un modify the sump so all the turbo stuff is usable.
The buy all this s*#t:

Pistons
Water pump
Head gasket
Sump gasket
The weird o ring to the bottom radiator hose
Oil filter
A head

It's going to miss nationals but should be on track after then.
Got so much on and little $ will make it hard to get it done.

It had left overs from the oil drop from Amys gem.

Before the crap that came out of the 4z it would almost be boarder line usuable in something that burned oil really bad lol.

But yeah at least its out now so I don't have to do it and with the 4z pulled to bits I can either take it to a machine shop and get them to do the things or bin it and use all the bolt on etc on a new block.

I need to do this soon. The faster I get it done the quicker it hits the track.

Might part with some things make some $ get that sorted.
Anyone interested in a Twincam?

Yeah I think so.

Pricing up some cheap pistons at the moment.
Should be able to get some new ones with rings for under $200.

I'm not keen on forking out for forgies just yet. Need to keep it cheap.
Forgies mean built motor then bigger turbo then this then methanol then big fuel system.

Jonno wants but Jonno needs to spend money on his other cars at the same time...

Friends.

I've had a certain c*#t in my ear about getting this thing driving asap. This unmentioned c*#t suggested I should n/a the thing.
Thining about it more it would get the stupid shitbox moving quicker than the time I would take to turbo it and I could easily ass tune it rather than actually need to rent a dyno for a day.

This would be more cost effective for me to. Means I can save my coin then when I'm done with it get all the E85 stuff sorted.

This would mean I could actually get it sorted for Gemini nationals...
Wouldn't be as fast and I would whine about lack of pssshhhttt noises.

Thoughts bros thoughts.

N/A all the way!!!

your new slogan for it.

But in all seriousness , register then go quick. Its not the end of the world if you canot turbo it asap , life does get in the way when you get older and there are more important priorities than getting all your plans done within a timeframe and limited budget.

I myself am at a standstill until i get the mod plate

Registration and s*#t isn't a real big problem. It's currently 'rego spec' so it would almost walk through an inspection (bar the heater working) and looking like a shitcan.

If I run the 4ze1 n/a I can spend some time getting the e85 stuff sorted properly. I have heads I can use for an n/a application.

And still hoon around get on the track and set some times down.

Those c*#nts in the 86 club keep having club hold hands together track days. This is bugging me alot.
Someone with an actual modified car with no fear needs to show them how it's done.
I nominate myself for this task.
