So a bit different to my usual here's my parts bin shitbox coupe story.

Years back Marty bought some TD sedan for the twin carbies that are on that mythical thing in his storage container I mean garage.
The thing got passed around to store like an unwanted wog relative and when we built the workshop up home it got carted to be 'worked on' there.

Well story goes that never happened my sister wanted one and it was there.

So the car.
1979 TD SL/E (legit) Sedan.
We've established it was originally red. I thought it was that bronzey colour like the sandpiper but chrisco says otherwise, but has been painted in some purple/blue colour.
When we got it had a munted dash TE SL/X seats and no door cards. Because I've got limited pics I'm just gunna jump to nowish.

So Krystal decided the factory wheels are homo and bought some neat 17s off a mate, threw treads on them and we wacked them on.
We rebushed almost all the things under the car. Nolethane catalogue etc.
Pedders springs.

Got some pimp seats and cool custom parcel shelf which came out of a Gemini I got.
Anything NOS I've got and never used has ended up in this.
Tail lights grill etc etc etc.

When we got it, it had a clapped out 1600 blown f*#cking everything, so we hauled that out and Krystal and my old man did a few rust repairs within the engine bay and floor pan. So has virtually a new floor.
Painted the engine bay up all neat.

We got a rebuilt and overbored 1600, bit of head work. Elkin said it's got decent sized valves in it.
Some bulls*#t cam which we are all worried will get a bit valve/piston touchy and a 32/36 weber we gotta jet correctly.
2/5Inch exhaust and extractors. Excellent 5 speed gear box etc.

Should go hard hopefully. Aim is to smack the coupe in a drag. Which may or may not be easy.
And have it almost ready for driving soon, rego mid October then paint not long after.

We were going to paint it HOK Royal Purple or whatever the f*#k it's called. Originally for my coupe but we saw how that happened.
