Nah man, pintara. Seems I'm all Nissan now...
The pinny was the mrs' sister and developed a bottom end knock. She bought a brand new car and in return for doing a few services on it, I got the pintara. 7 months licence, 4 brand new tyres, new brakes all round, pioneer deck and in pretty damn good nick.
So far I've crashed it twice. Once into some large rocks and once into a roo out bush at 80kph. It's had a major thrashing, yet the rod is still yet to throw, which has me scared. You can't continously compression lock up and not throw a rod....
The CA18 drops straight in and hooks straight up to the current gearbox, so it's an easy switch and should get me enough to get out on the track. Just gotta cut the springs and lock the diff once the new engine is in.
Should be seeing my name at the drift days next year.
