The SpaVara
The SpaVara
I'm sure some of you have seen this in my other thread, but I thought it should get it's own.
The SpaVara was mostly knocked up from stuff laying around in my 'project shed'. Total cost is now around $100.
I was driving through the burbs a couple of months ago, and I saw a Navara tub on the side of the road with a big "free" sign on it. I couldn't resist, although I was just gonna build a trailer with it. Until, I realised the spa tub I had was of similar size!
The rest of the build was just natural progression. The suspension and axle was laying around from a previous project, and consists of a widened Daewoo Matiz axle, complete with trailing arms, brakes, and a panhard rod. The springs are chopped unknown, and the shocks are Navara.
The front box was necessary due to the location of the wheels. This progressed into a 300L ice chest, pump/filter/heater, and beer gas setup.
It has digital heat control.
The Modwood deck lifts out, and is a storage compartment for the stands and hoses.
For comedy value, the drain plug leaves via the exhaust.
It isn't quite finnished yet. It's getting LED lights, and the tailgate is to be panelled and will be the step to get in.
Hopefully the gem will be towing this thing to Port for the Gemnats.

Who can think of the most insane place to actually have a spa?
We do have a 3kw generator that can power it, so we could really have one anywhere.
I'm thinking on a round-a-bout, or federation square..
this thing looks f*#cking cool, i had a similar idea a while back but never put it into practice.
also love the drain pipe.

how do you stop all the water spilling out when you driving it around? or do you need to fill it at the location?
