1971 LA Lancer Coupe Race Car.
Well, a few years ago Dad bought a 1973 Galant and started racing, But then he wanted a lighter car. He picked up a rust-bucket LA Lancer and over 4 years of week-end work turned it into what's in the pics.(No build pic's as I only took the one's here today and it's on the hoist so taking pics was difficult.
It's got a 2.6L sigma engine, twin 48mm DCOE webers, (Also a custom made Fuel Injection set-up, going to be tested when it's 100% finished), 4:1 Extractors to a 2 1/4" side exhaust.
Engine has been run-in on a rolling road, but hasn't seen the track yet. Should be out late next year some time.
Alot more stuff but I'm sure you'd rather see pics.
Custom made Flares
Got Camber?
Twin 48mm DCOE's
To adjust Brake Bias
And if you're wondering, My last name is Footner, all modifications were done by my dad, and over 90% were on a manual Lathe or Mill.
