So with all the brakes sorted I thought it was time to get to mounting the VT-VZ booster/master, fits in pretty nicely, just waiting on a commodore pedal box to arrive to finish it off! ($37 delivered off ebay thankyou!)

Also got the shortened steering rack shafts back to re-assembled the rack and had a trial fit!

Steering geometry looks really good, just need to re-furbish a few parts and should be sorted!

Just need to mate the steering column to the rack and i'll be nearly done with the steering then too!

I'm in talks with McDonald Bros Racing about a few rear end bits so hopefully soon more progress :)

Turbo fits :)
Will probably rotate the turbo to be more straight and thinking i'll most likely send the exhaust out the inner guard too, should help get the exhaust heat away from the inlet and help with under bonnet temps!

You need to take this to a Pre80/all holden day where we can watch all the FX/FJ tragics have aneurisms over the fact it's got a turbo on it.

hahahaha, I have a thread on fx/fj holden forum, some like it, others cringe that I cut it up :)

no matter what you do you will never please everyone .... and for me, I bought it with plans to race it, and it had already been butchered so we never going to be a perfect original so no stress I reckon :)

I would be telling the diehards a less truthful story. Something like I found an original rust free barn find car, tossed the old grey in a skip, and proceeded to take to it with an angle grinder... :-D
