V8 Vauxhall Chevette City

Post by SoYank »

Found this while surfing. (from the UK)

A sample picture - 3.5 out of a Rover. 2 sets of Honda carbs. Look close at the shifter knob. :D It's a piston!

Build thread including lots of pics, parts used, & some vids of it running - it sounds niiiiiiiice! 8)

You won't get any argument from me on that one. :?
The front clip ranks right up there with the Pontiac Aztek in HPF (Hurl Production Factor).
In case y'all weren't subjected to this rolling abomination here's a look.
  :P :o :(

just googled the aztek...agreed. rememba them giving them away on survivor...no freakn wonder must hv been hard 2 sell!!!!
on the vettes i agree the front is ugly, i call it good ugly whereas aztek is bad ugly, as 4 the back i think they are mean... but we all entitled to opinions...sum of mine may get me barred from the site!!!
This could start a new thread...what is everybodys favorite bodyshape out of all years/makes/models/body styles? Mine would be a gem wagon 1st of all...probly a td but i hav a tg and love that 2... then my chevini. I don't think i could handle owning a chevette longterm...that front! but like i said, good ugly!

Stock chev city front might be damn ugly, but from a customisation point of view it would be great to work with. Would be a heap of things you could customise into that front end so it looks totally different. Our geminis with the more flat front doesn't leave much room for creativity
