Nicks TG Diesel

Post by stubbsy212 »

Hey guys,

just thought i would throw a few photos up and see what yous thought of my gemmy.

My car is a 1984 TG SL/X Diesel, one of the very very few TG diesels made i believe. I am the Third owner, the original owner was an old lady who drove it to church, and then her grandson drove it for a year before i bought it.

Inside it has 6.5 inch splits on the doors, 6x9s in the parcel shelf and 2 12 inch subs i the boot. The boot has a false floor to neaten things up. I have custom made the removeable centre piece ot the tg console and rearranged the position of stuff so i could fit the flip out 7 inch DVD player.

Like it says below i have a full turbo setup to bolt onto the car, not sure when ill get around to it but hopefully in the near future.

Its got kings front and rear and the wheels i just got from Ray Ray, they are andrews old wheels.

Yeh this is my second Diesel, and the 5th of the family, dad owned 3 before me.

This is the only TG though, the rest were all TE's, and we have another wreck of a TF as a parts car aswell

Yeh i no its a pretty rare car,

I've kept it so that i can put it back to unmolested condition pretty easily.

The only really permanent thing is the dash and head unit, but i used another surround to make the Head unit fit, so i still have the stock one if i ever wanna take it out.

Cheers Nick

PS who else thinks the number plate looks a bit ricer? lol, im just experimenting

Hey Guys,

Just an update. My rear window has been leaking for a while, finally got around to getting it refitted so no more leaks.

Problem is the parcel shelf is now knackered lol, so im making a custom fiberglass one, ill post some pics up during the week.

gotta figure out how to fit the rear seatbelt pretensioners in around the new shelf but, should be interesting.

Cheers
Nick
