Did the fronts today, can't do the rears yet as I need to weld up new diff mounts for them to make sure they are captive (they're a bit longer than the current ones).

Next to the old Tokicos:

I'm a bit gutted, things are not always as good as they seem. If you look at that pic above, that's when the car is jacked up. When I lowered it all back down, there was only 15mm compression travel left in the shocks! And they said these were for lowered cars.

So I'm going to sell them to someone who has not such a low car... someone on 17"s or something and get new ones made. Lucky they manufacture them to order.

The rears should be OK as I can just move the mounting point on the diff down about 5cm to compensate.

Stupid me for not thinking this through. But people had always said that you don't need to get specially lowered shocks for the front and I just went along with that. Dummy!

Shocks were £45 each + shipping. You will want to give them the measurements of open and closed when you order them so they make the right size. Mine were not small enough!

New car bit coming soon, will post pics asap.

As I say every time I post a pic, still need a paint job, need to clean the f#*ker. But there is other things yet to happen before paint.

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Looks staunch.

Hopefully going for the above wheels with Datsun ZG flares or similar, in black.

This s*#t aint finished... you'll see. Current rims are gone as soon as I have enough money, lacking severly in a decent offset. The car isn't made for show, it's made to drive on the street and rip around the track.
