Gemini Nationals 6 Easter 2014

Post by Jonno »

As the topic states

Welcome to the beginning of the Next Holden Gemini Nationals!

So once again we will be hosting the nationals mainly around Tuggerah and The Entrance. Was a good area and we had next to no issues.

The Supercruise will be again held on the 20th of April 2014 and details on that will come throughout the year.

If there's enough interest we might look into organising another hillclimb.

Interstate Travelers and anyone who wants to we will be staying at Two Shores Caravan Park The Entrance again.

We've let them know we will be returning next year and they are happy to have us.

One Slight hitch though is payment must be made in full (so no deposits unfortunately)
I'm going to discuss site arrangements with the park before the end of the month, I'll book the same amount as people stayed this year + anyone who is keen on coming to the next one. (Thursday - Monday)

We had a good arrangement this year and probably will have more room pending how many extra people want to camp etc.

Any further info will be posted in the thread and eventually make it's way into this post!

If this year was anything to go by expect extreme awesomeness from the next one! lol

Interstate Travellers Accomodation as follows:

I've tentatively booked 14 sites with possible 3 extra.
(These are all powered.)
I've booked these sites from Thursday 17th till Monday the 21st

Stupid me forgot to ask how much per night but their internet site suggests 47$ Per Night which sounds about right.

For those who came this year we are booked the same area as previous but going to the end of the stretch where Roddy had his car parked.

Obviously there is no problem if you want to get a cabin like Ant & Ross did they had no worries with staying there.

I people could start paying for their sites sooner rather than later, I'm still under the impression that they want it paid in full.
When you pay can you let me know:
- That you've paid
- Which site/cabin number you've booked
- And for how many.
We managed to squeeze everyone we had there on the sites with the amount of cars we had.
If you're buddying with someone let me know as well so we can take an extra tent and/or car to fit.

VS with a 202? Why?

Should upgrade to one of those 2j motors

Either way the more the merrier!

Bill I'll PM you in the week seems everyone is keen to run again so we might organise another event.

Andrew good to hear!

I'll contact them next week and get some sites reserved.

mainly cause it was sitting there and cause we love 202's and cause we can

we have most all the bits to put it in, did 12.78 over the 1/4 in my Gemini with the wrong converter, and his car is only about 90kgs heavier with the right converter so should go good :) motor made 200hp at the wheels in the Gemini!

Just so people know , we had no problems with the park. They had no complaints against us and welcomed us back next year. The amenities were cleaned daily and the pool was very clean ( albeit cold ). 20m from the water and you could walk 100m easily out in it and cast a line if you wanted ( losing bait was a given ).

everything was set out so there was parking for cars and trailers , camping , and a communal area where we all sat and most drank.

p.s , im just uploading a few " non car" photos from the weekend , and have some bowling vids i'll add to youtube soon. And all my incar footage is crap apart from the headlight shot , which isnt too bad.

I'll be in on the hill climb again! Maybe next year I'll put a Gemini in it. The van was slow but fun.
