Firebug's TF track car gallery thread...
Thought I'd better present some pics of the track car. Got her a bit over a year ago in reasonable condition. Dragged her down from Mooloola QLD to here in Newcastle. Progress is finally being made.
Plans are for her to be a hillclimb and mini sprint car. Just something cheap and fun.
Still needs brakes, tie rod ends, stripped interior, roll cage, harnesses, exhaust, wheels/tyres.

Update:
Pulled her out of the shed today for a much needed wash. Since the paint I've stripped the interior including sound deadener. Floor painted, firewall installed where the back seat was, new parcel shelf, battery relocated and race seats in. New upper and lower ball joints, tie rod joints, full suspension bush kit, custom set King springs, VT front brakes and some eBay special wheels.

Update...
Got the supercharger bolted up , coil packs relocated, new radiator, mounted the intercooler and its piping. a fair bit of fabrication involved getting it all to fit. I'm pretty happy with the result...
Next on the list is bigger injectors, new computer and tuning. I acquired a laptop for the job so hopefully in the not too distant future some tuition in tuning the Delco computer is in order.

Very tidy. The paint looks completely different is it exactly the same colour? It's a shame you had to strip the interior that green was just plain sexy :/

Is your throttle body after your supercharger? If so will it work properly like that?

Top work mate, looks like its all but there, I did notice there was no sticky looking tyres on it yet though ??
The throttle body is still in the factory location according to the last pic! I think it will need a blow off valve to work properly, but I'm not sure only had experience with turbos easy fix if it is needed though.
As far as delco tuning Firebug, happy to help you with some tuition if you want to stick with the factory computer and real time tune it.
ps. like the colour, I used to have an LH Torana very similar colour, I liked it a lot till it got bent

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!!

Itll get the s*)ts and make hot things if its trying to force air no where. From minimal reading I did recently they need a recirc valve so when the tb is closed its pretty much turning in its own air, if that makes sense.moley wrote:Is your throttle body after your supercharger? yeah that's what a blow off valve will do, weather you plumb it back before the blower or just vent to atmosphere (aka sneeze noise) is up to the owner I guess ... I just have mine going to atmo as theres no rules for a race car
