Update time, looking at a bond roll bars 6 point kit, gotta get it in under the old rules before they are phased out on the 1st of april.

I'll fit it up then I have a fabricator that used to work for 888 lined up to weld it for me :)

If your car isn't cut (ie tubs etc) then you can have a bolt in cage tech'd by andra down to 9.00 with bolt in intrusion bars :)

I will be running the cage through the dash, which I will be making a fibreglass or carbon copy of then padding for adr's.

Going to try & get a street legal 9 second car done, wish me luck!

Got another set of Simmons OM16's a while back from a Golf, they are "supertourer" spec with 1 inch outers

Scored a pair of 2.5 inch outers, and another pair of 3 inch outers from ebay recently, so i can turn them into dishy 7.5's and 8.5's..

Stripped the interior out the other day ready for the cage, the kit only turned up today..

Update!

Cage is done, pics soon. Guy who did it used to work for 888 building V8 supercars so his tig work is amazing. While the interior was all out i took the time to retrim the interior, well other than the seats and doortrims which will be done soon. Oh and carpet lol. Got her ready to race for Jambo and had an ok weekend running high 11's to 12's with the plugs gapped down, yeah she still had that misfire issue. I had sent the M&W away to get some green terminals replaced and get it checked while the cage was being done. Didnt make any difference to the misfire.

Had a good chat with Smokey at Jambo comparing notes on misfiring Gemini's and we got to talking about Piazza alternators and whether they are up to the task with big pumps and well, big everything. So since Jambo i have been investigating fitting a larger alternator. My mate at VPW and my auto sparky couldnt come up with anything that would fit easily, but my sparky did say i should get him to check current draw and voltage drops on the charge output side, and earths again.

So today i dropped it over to him to work his magic, basically the outcome has been that he has rewired the output side of the alternator and it is now charging much higher, right where it should be. Earths were spot on. I havnt road tested it to see if the misfire has gone yet but hopes are high. It does make sense though the way this problem manifested itself, as it was fine when it first went on the road and gradually got worse... Much like how a few bad connections could slowly get worse...
