Gemicoop update his so I will to.
So we haven't gotten far with it. Slow progress for Geminats.
It's had a few little additions to it.
I even got a new boss kit and put the old steering wheel on!
Uhley came around and started on the brake lines. We've ditched the hard line for bid. It's 3/4 complete.
We were sent the wrong fittings to finish it off but that should be taken care of this week. Hopefully do some filming for the magazine as well.

Things are happening incredibly slowly. i
I've had an off on my bike and had surgery the other week so it's a bit hard to do anything/the s*#t I wanted to have done.

Here's my list of stuff to get done by Gemini Nationals.
- Finish brake lines.
- Change rear rotors
- Change rear pads
- Repair some things
- Paint some things
- Put my interior back together
- Install my stereo again
- Proper service I don't think it's had one in some time.

Useless update mk3.14~

So the bad news is I didn't completely tick off all the things on my list.
I couldn't get a set of new rotors to put on so they never got done.

The brake lines themselves got done Uhley did a great job of those.
We did have a small problem with the physical bleeding of the brakes. My mate Kieran came and saved the day.
He worked for the local rotary shop and had done a fair few hydro handbrakes for Targa cars so we got that bled up sweet (literally the night before we were supposed to leave).

Mick sorted me out with his old Sprint V. So I managed to hard mount that up for a passenger seat.
Re-assembled the interior wired up gauges and put the console back in.
Fixed the CD player.
And did a full service.

Went good did some things, drove like normal made Geminats and back home again.

Yes :D haha

I've got some s*#t to start on for this now.
There's a handful of things I want to refine. Passenger seat position rear brakes again

Seems to have a problem delivering fuel going up hill to I noticed also. Not much help for doing hill climbs and stuff.
Maybe fresh valve springs as well or something to freshen up the motor.

You didn't see s*#t! :D

Relocated for a bit. It's got a fuel problem I think. Seems to starve at high revs...

Enough just to get something on the cement. Been called out at halfwaynats in October.

I'm a bit worried where what we are doing will lead.
We've also started filming as well...

So I've been trying to work out a small yet functional braking system for the Coupe.
So far the brakes have been excellent. Pull up sweet even with the hydro in there.
The back rotors need to be replaced and I'd say the pads with them.

The front rotors and pads are still not too bad but I've been trying to get a decent solution for them.

"Google the kit from Hopper Stoppers Jonno"

Yeah I know all about those. I've been trying to find a more practical option for this.

"What do you mean practical? They work they're huge what's not to love"

The weight. I think for something like Amy's Gemini huge brakes are a really good idea. She's got heaps and heaps of power and it's primarily a street car which on occasion sees the track.

The coupe is different. I don't have any power (but enough to chop Lokis V8) and it handles not so bad.
I dunno how going about smashing 5kg a side brake upgrades will impact the handling and geometry of the car.

"You've got 17inch wheels on it faggot it's already ruined"

Even with those it handles pretty dam sweet.

So googling I've discovered the upgrade that is probably going to suit this is something like that's on the red car
VN V8 brake calipers
Magna discs.

Or Piazza brakes.

Darren also suggested these:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wilwood-For ... 5JTjxmS26s

I can't seem to work out if that's all the same bits but? As in that all bolts up to the existing hub assembly and that gold thing in there is an adaptor?

Handling is not important when your gearbox is broken in half lol

Lol true.

For the record nothing has been done with this thing since my last reportings.

It is undergoing some small modifications for the Halfwaynats Track day.
We've been making videos on it but I haven't had the time/the weather has been legit shitful here so nothing happens.

We had to re-jigg things for youtube. It was under race magazine originally but the mags up for sale.

So we don't want to release anything that might get taken if the magazine goes. So it's all pending at the moment :(

I need to talk cereal with Matt and get something happening for real.

Get the box in you homo.

Well no massive update.

Halfwaynats was a blast!!! I'll start the things from the start and work back.

For months I've not done much to the coupe at all. ACT Holden Day, Amys Treatments our own personal s*#t going on it's suffered.

The youtube stuff is still coming. We grabbed it all before the mag sold. The new owner doesn't seem interested in it so we will start our own channel...

The updates aren't super interesting. Mainly fixed a few things that needed fixing over the time. Fixed up some wiring, the windscreen wipers and a few small things.

Kieran helped me out with the brakes so now they're fresh as, stop brilliantly.

So we took his Rx7 and the bucketship down to Wodonga with some other peoples.

The thing wasn't as fast as I had hoped buuuttt consistent all day. Never missed a beat and I leaned on it hard.
It's screaming for valvesprings and a new cam but we might hold off on that.
For fast cars they where doing 1min 1/2/3 seconds around the track. My mate Ryley in his n/a 2J Mk2 supra did a 1.02.

The coupe and I did a 1.08 around it and pretty consistently the same after that. I chucked on the fancy track tyres I had bought for Geminats 2018 and sent it.

First time the coupe has gone out to do basically what I wanted it do be able to since the 4z went into the red car. I was stoked.

Hopefully some fresh pro shots at the track come out soon. I didn't take any unfortunately (my photography game is lacking hard) so Nimbus took this one for me along with his own custom graphic lol

Image

Should be ripping into the stuff I wanted to do for this for Summernats next. Pretty much flat out till then lol.
