So this happened!
i got a set of rims, cleaned them up, painted, polished, and put 2x new tyres on the back, and all fitted up.
Very happy with them!

I tracked down some NOS material still on the original roll from Holden, have started getting the interior retrimmed, I have the door trims back now and fitted.

I got a rodeo style remote shifter, made up a 10mm plate out of alloy, cut the huge commercial gear stick off and welded on an M10 bolt.
Modified an Auto Console and gave it a full refurb & repositioned the console mounts.

The shifter is in a perfectly natural position, which was all i thought I would achieve.
BUT With the new shifter, it is super close, you can feel every gear change, and now the gearbox doesn't slip out of gear - the box feels so tight and precise now.

Next to work out the triple gauges, i've sent them off to be tested and calibrated.

Cut off the hotdog and put a real muffler in under the back seat.
just that little less buzz on the highway.

Just caught up on the whole thread. Wow, such bad luck with the accident. Amazing results so far!

I also lost count the number of times Jonno asked if you were going to the Geminats :D

Thanks heaps guys, I had planned to go, but realised it was a long weekend, and realised I had double booked.
But I'll keep plugging away, hope to get to a Gemini meet though!

So I Bought an Air Chief, got it rebuilt, tracked down some knobs, and the Air Chief Fascia and touched up the Chrome bits.
Fully functional OE spec, and am now scouring Buy & Sell pages for Cassette Tapes
