hey guys,
iv noticed that we have more members then we have views of the rules and site anouncments.
could yous please make the effort when u have a free 5 minuts to have a quick read of the rules and announcments, as they are there to help the site run soothly.

The forum has crashed!
Looks like an alteration was made to some of teh PHP code and now it is not working correctly.
I can't post in some threads.
I can't post new threads.
I can't edit a post I made.
I no longer see a delete button on a post I just made.
I can't tell Gene about this because he makes me out to be a fool.
I know I'm right and Gene, just listen to people. They are often trying to help when you ridicule them.
PS: Sorry I chose to post it in here but I can't post in the thread where I was trying to. |

Further to that;
When I post a reply I get a message like this:

As well, I notice the index lists are not updating to show the member who last posted or the time of the last post.
Anyway, I did my bit. You work out the faults Administrator Gene. It's not my resopnsibility to work out who stuffed up when they altered some code last night. I hope they backed up before they did it because the problems don't seem to be going away. One thing comes good and something else is faulty. Restoring from the backup may be the only way to fix it. |

so your saying it was my fault? i dont even edit the softwear for the site.. get of your high horse.. s far as i know merv didnt make any changes either

No one ever said it was your responsibility to work out what is wrong with the site and no one asked you to do so. So I agree with gene, get off your high horse and be quiet.
Furthermore, your cocky assumption was wrong. No code changes were made to the software, its a database table that has gone wrong and will be fixed. |

Yeah well, I suppose trying to mention there is a problem then to have Gene throw it back at me as if I was some sort of idiot is ok then isn't it. Good for him but not for me.
I can tell you that there are a number of complete threads now deleted so maybe you could restore what's missing....
Up to you of course Merv. I'm just a bystander. The thing is that some of what is missing is very important. Like the complete thread on the Winton race discussion for instance. It would be most useful to have that back again. |

where did i "throw it back at you" ?? i never did...
all i said was i didnt edit anythign and to not insinuate that it was my doing that caused it to crap itself
