I'm curious to know what people feel about locked rear axles being used in street registered cars.

Please just vote in the poll and post valid comments but not discussions.

kinda ridiculous poll...
YES it is illegal that is obvious.

but whether it is unsafe or not depends how well the driver knows there car and whether they do stupid things.

cars don't drive stupidly by themselves.

how should i vote?

x2

the wagon has a locker in it atm, and its not unsafe when I putt it like I do day to day.

mind you give me a empty carpark and some room to throw her around in without the chance of hitting anyone and I'll tell you 1 thing... if someoen who drives like a wanker gets one of them in a street car.. fark me dead, it'll be around a pole sooo fast.

wheres the option for 'yes it is aillegal i admit but id rather have something do what i want it to when i want it to than have something be unpredictable'

you cant predict what an open wheeler will do, you can predict lockers.

end bitch

end rant

end thread

haha Yes its illegal but how is it any different to an LSD that has had the cones tightened up?

I drive with a locker everyday in my daily and i find it no problem at all. Feels the same as when it was a single pegger. Just creates more smoke and allows more fun. I will say though in the wet they can be very dangerous in the wrong hands but no different to an LSD thats my argument!

Im not sure the cops really care anymore anyway. I know so many people who run locked diffs wether they be home jobs or proper units. Majority of these people also drve their cars more than just on weekends!

my car went over (well around, it was to low to get over) the pits and they didn't pick the locker even with teh monster crunching noise. few other cars that went through had lockers and didn't get pulled for them.
