If you can't get to it then remove the brake master assembly so you can clean the area up.

Then just rebleed after. The brake fluid that was left there obviously ate into the paint and bubbled it and exposed the metal surface to oxygen then started to rust.

We all talk about cooling efficiency of a radiator that is in a gemini? For the price of the alloy units on ebay it is a bargain. They are a hell of a lot lighter than the copper units also. I just put a 50mm 4core alloy rad from ebay in my hilux after 3 attempts of repairing a top tank leak on the ...

g161z blocks are the same.

G161 is stamped as well as G180 and G200 which are obviously different size blocks. Although G180 and G200 are same with different bore diameter if I am correct.

all ok now. When I first bought the kit it wasn't in a petronix box. However when I read the back of the ignitor it is indeed a Petronix Ignitor with the part number on top. The metal ring was a little rusty so I cleaned that up. Pulled the ignitor out and cleaned the magnet face. Refitted. The airg...

The white wire is being used to trigger the kit in there now.

But with a points setup don't I need a ballast resistor so the points don't melt? or is that the coil? Or is it ok for a diagnosis

But this should still create a spark at the spark plug correct? I am getting no spark when disconnecting lead at plug and grounding near tappet cover or no spark coming from coil when cranking. Even if the timing is out. The trigger is exactly the same as a petronix ignitior kit but just a different...

Ok have done some diagnosing today. Have had a look at wiring diagrams, etc. I know the wiring is all fine because it has been running for 2 years now and I haven't touched anything. Anyway have a read of this: http://www.msdignition.com/page.aspx?id=3206 I use the white wire trigger as I run a petr...

I rebuilt my calipers 2 years ago the exact same way. Replaced boot seals, piston seals and the o-rings. My calipers looked worse than those. Stuff fell out everywhere. Had to use a screwdriver to wedge a heap of crap out of the lines in the caliper. And after two years they haven't leaked at all. H...

I read an article on reading spark plugs and the plugs are quite black around the top ring. They are good heat range via the strip on the earth. However plugs are 10,000km old. How and what rev range would that be lean? Is it possible idle is good but main/secondary jets too lean? Do the valves look...

White exhaust valves

Hey had to pull my head off to stamp the bloody engine number on for a rwc. When they decked the block ages ago the shaved it off and I put it back in not thinking or seeing it fully shaved off. The head tapers over the block face where the number sits and couldn't get the stamp direct on it. So too...

Rebuilt the front calipers in the gem. Regreased the bearings as well, etc. new rotors. Put the calipers back on. Bleed the brakes went to drive it and the rears would lock up and the pedal would go to the floor. Went through litres of brake fluid and hours of bleeding brakes until I had a look and ...
