I should be able to give you something to help you out. send me a PM with some details. setting up the trigger is normally the hardest part.

Re: Gemini tuning thread

Mick was wondering if you have noticed power gains by changing the cam timing with different boost levels. I have only ever played with cam timing at modest boost levels. found the best overall power at say 15psi then wound more boost in from there. Do you think there is a ruff rule of thumb of say ...

Re: Emissions, engineering & all the fun!

If you use a std cam and run it on E85 with a new cat converter in the exhaust and a good tune it will fly through the test. leave the wastgate open. the test is not as nerve racking as people make out. E85 is the answer it has far lower emissions than unleaded. most of the test is done at very ligh...

I agree with your comments spot on with number 1 and 2. The rod ratio would be the least one to make a difference. some but not much.

Re: list your turbo cam specs

265 degreses is a small cam. yes i think you are on the money going to 272 degrees. 114 LSA is good also. just watch your total lift if you go over 440 in lift you may have the retainer hit the valve guide seal.

Re: Valve spring pressure

150 is up there. More than I have seen before. What is it at full lift ??. I think the valve will take it no problems. Will the rocker and cam live only one way to find out. With that much spring looks like you are going for 50 plus psi and lots of rpm. That's going to be cool, hurry up and get if g...

Re: G200 specs would be great !!!

The holes rob to much oil from the big end bearings. out of all the g series that have spun bearings and thrown rods g200 would make up 90% of them. and only a guess but the g200 would only make up less than 5 % of all g series engines. Would this be the same for a G161 running a G200 crank/G161 ro...

Re: G200 specs would be great !!!

G161 spec's will be fine. If you are using G200 rods. I would block off the oil squirter holes in the rods. Also a 3mm spacer in the oil pump spring will give you some more oil pressure.

Re: Weakest link in the 4 speed manual

The MUA box is very strong and would handle 500. the only down side in the gear ratios are high (low speed) in first. I did get PAR to quote a dog clutch gear set 5K not cheap. But it would be a very cool set up with what ever ratios you would like.

Re: Weakest link in the 4 speed manual

Here is a pic of a gem gear set after 3 runs down the strip with 500 HP going through it. the box had done a fair bit of work before hand but was still ok. By the third run you not here the engine coming back on the return road it was that noisy. http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh484/boatscoot45...
