Try sodablasting over sandblasting....otherwise the poor Gem will come out with rippled panels. On the coast here there are a few mobs that come out and blast boat hulls out at the GC Marina. Cant remember the company names but like above...Yellow Pages, look under Marine Services if nothing is found...

I use a harmonic balancer/crank pulley puller for the job. I think the threads in the wheel for the puller are M8 so use some M8 rod.. Makes it so easy and non-violent i wonder why people do it any other way. x2 The thread pitch is M8 x 1.25 so any common M8 bolt screwed into the 2 holes each side ...

Theres a few bits to look for when buying a kit..... One of them is the microswitch and wiring harness on the heater controls on inside of dash. Dont forget the double crank pulley and the idler wheel for the AC belt. I scored a system that was from a Gem an air con mate owned that had been written ...

You didn't remove the diff housing I'm assuming, just added the welded up centre, so therefore it's not the alignment of the housing that will be kicking the car and besides, you can double check anyway with a tape measure to see that the diff is squared to the chassis. The thing I'm questioning is...

I love a locker hey but in a daily...... :? in the wet...... its too much esp. with my son in the car too,can just see the officers face of sheer disgust and disbelief now LOL S...

Aussie early models are steel......Opels were plastic. Be aware that the early model covers wont fit the later TE/F/G's.The cover itself is smaller than the C pillar pressing. I paid $50 to have both mine plated....if ya prep them yourself youll save a bit. Strip the paint off them and sand them up ...
