EMS engine management

Post by MONKEYMAN »

Hey fellas,
Just wondering if anyone is running one, are they happy with it etc...
Currently doing a fairly serious 4ze1 swap, have a stinger 4424 lying around, wondering if I should use it or steer clear and go with the haltech.
Just trying to save myself any headaches. Cheers

I had a 4424 running my 4z. No complaints other than it was a 4z.

Or put a RB style reluctor distributor on it, and do delco. It will drive the stock injectors, and I reckon all the stock sensors too. Budget a couple of hundred for the realtime kit, but it'll be much more bang for buck than a haltech. (more features, smoother running, more driveable).

Though from whats said above, might as well go with what you've got.

Stingers are f*#cking awesome, Rob Chapman runs them in all his off road racing twin turbo mitsu v6's, he reckons the extrapolation between load points is as good as a motec or autronic.

They have enough features for 99% of 4 cylinder cars.

EMS products are all excellent.

I have run nearly every model on my drag car and they were faultless.

The current working on an interactive dash which looks awesome to say the least.

The biggest point in recommending the product is the local service and support from the team at EMS and their distributors.

EMS are a good ECU

I had one for my 4ZE1. I didnt end up sticking with it because there were no decent local tuners
