Complex modifications to light vehicles such as engine, gearbox and rear axle, steering and brake replacements can be certified by an Approved Person, providing the modifications have been performed in accordance with the Queensland Transport Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Modifications.
All approved persons have the code of practice. Copies of the code of practice are available for reading at Queensland Transport Vehicle Inspection centres and on sale through Goprint retail outlets.

safety certificate do's and don't
Hi Im just in the process of tidying up my tg waggon trying to get everything fixed for safety certificate then rego, but as i cant drive it round here there and everywhere to get stuff fixed i have to do all at home till the magic day i get my certificate then rego. but is there a document or booklet that will help me to know what they look for in a safety certificate check. like a guideline of all the stuff that they check for so i can get my pass first time. if anyone can help me out or suggest where i can get such a document would be greatly appreciated,
