So it's the same as Piazza turbo except coarse spline output shaft.
Also this sheet i've got has 2 sets of ratios for the 117 1.8 DOHC for some reason.
3.501 3.174
2.165 1.963

I have different ratios quoted in my PF-WE-331 chassis manual but I'm not convinced they are correct for Australian produced vehicles. They may well be but until I rip down a box and identify the ratios I'll hold back on listing them as correct. They list boxes and engines that never existed in Australia like a diesel 4 speed and a 1.8 litre Gemini engine. Apart from that, the ratios quoted for the petrol are also not listed in any other Australian publication.
They are;
Diesel 5 spd
R 3.438:1
1 3.736:1
2 1.963:1
3 1.364:1
4 1.000:1

These manuals are produced for the Japanese production cars. Note how they list the G180Z engine as an option in the specs. We all know this isn't true when it comes to Oz cars.
* It might however be an interesting method of convincing the authorities to allow a G180Z engine without the need for engineering though! Don't hold your breath.

as you will see its a different "L" set than below.
Next is the WFR manual for the Shuttle bus. It shares the chapter with the KB Rodeo. So i will list the Ratios and what it ws in. The sets are coded by letters like the other gearboxes.
WFR is the bus
KB is the rodeo
KBD is the Diesel Rodeo.
Box model,
ratios,
vehicle and engine. I will do the 4 & 5 speed seperate so its not so confusing. I will omit the irrelavant engines.

WFR 4ZC1
KBD C190
KB G161 (note no Z so its probably irrelavant and for africa or something, they would have had budget push rod over there)
Theres two sets listed for the 4ZD1. There were 1000kg rated Rodeos and then 500kg rated LS Space cab Rodeos. Im tipping that the "C" set was for the latter as its the same as the Piazza ratios for he 4ZC1-T. Just happen to have a stuffed one in the shed, it was replaced by an "L".
More MSG ratios. TF rodeo factory manual, not fitted to australian TF's. Similar ratios as listed in the WFR Shuttle bus manual.
Omit the overdrive ratio for the 4 speed.

Ive got the 4x4 ratios here as well if anyone wants them. They are mostly the same as the 2x4 ones.
Diff ratios. The Shuttle, Rodeo and Jackaroo share the same diff centres. Also shared to a certain point by the KB20 and the Chev Luv. Best we can figure the Piazza center is the same too.
the common KB/UBS Ratios
4.555
4.10
Possibly 4.777 in the 4x4
Theres also Shuttle
4.555
4.777
5.125 (real early model that we would never have seen)
The Piazza
3.9something
And the luv for 1978 in the US lists
3.73 for the manual 4x2
4.10 for the auto and 4x4.
That seems starnge to me id suspect it to be around the other way with the auto having the 3.73. It was the THM200 or better known as the trimatic. I will be interested to pull the diff out of my KB20 and see.
Cheers. Bob.
Piazza for sale, black, manual, in fair condition with heaps of parts $3500 (parts not for sale seperately)

^^ THAT IS POST WHORING.
We are cracking down on this (hard to believe aint it?)
s*#t like that is for off topic and maybe general. NOT for technical posts such as these.
These ratios are from the Isuzu USB series manual (USB-WE-87G). Knowing these ratios will allow you to quickly determine if your gearbox is one from a Shuttle (WFR), Rodeo (K series) or Jackaroo (US series). The original engine each box was designed to match up with is also indicated.
so wat 5 speed box would i have in my TX coupe it was an auto in the start and i bought it as a 5 speed. wanna now the gaer ratios it would be, and how i would find out?
Hi
Iam looking for a Rodeo Gear Box with these ratios can anyone Help or can anyone tell me how to tell the differance from one box to the other

Yeah it would go faster for the same revs except for 4th ofcourse.
It's probably been replaced at some time with a late 80s box from a Rodeo or Shuttle, they also came with steel sandwich plates and fine spline output shafts.. If you look at the ratios bob posted above some of them are pretty bad.
Looks like A Rodeo box is How i remember it When I had One In A G200Z Panno All Takeoff Extremely low Ratio.. Then Gem Box followed By Diesel and Piazza Box..
I have one of each of these at home.. Was gonna Try Piazza but sounds like its not a straight swap and This info tells me Diesel is Close So may as well swap to Diesel instead and Try To improve my drag time.. I normally have to change to 4th close to the line , hope fully this lets me hold 3rd ..
